Pie, who doesn't love it? Well, I guess there's some out there, but definitely not me. Fruit pies are great in my opinion, and at the top of my list is apple. This Caramel Crumb Apple Pie is one that I've tweaked through the years to combine some of my favorite elements; apples, crumb topping and caramel, definite winners. Making pie crusts from scratch is not one of my favorite things to do, I CAN do it, I just really don't enjoy it. So use whatever type of bottom crust you'd prefer, whether it be from scratch, from a box, pre formed, it doesn't matter. My daughter Madison's 16th birthday rolled around recently. Yes, this is the daughter who does not like chocolate, no way, no how, she does not like it! So, when it came time for her to decide what type of birthday dessert she'd like this year (yes, we all get to choose what we want for our birthday dessert) she said " Peanut Butter Pie ". No problem, mom will hook you up!
