This Glazed Chocolate Chip Apple Cake is a spiced cake with a hint of chocolate, loads of fresh apple baked inside and topped with a chocolate glaze. With fall flavors and chocolate, you know this is gonna be good.

Simply mix the batter and then add in freshly grated apple. Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips are incorporated just prior to pouring into a bundt pan.

Spray your bundt pan thoroughly with non-stick cooking spray, stuck bundts are NO fun!
I used baking apples that I grated just prior to adding into the batter.
When melting the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, add in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
Need your glaze to set up quickly? Refrigerate glazed cake for a few minutes.

Glazed Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

Glazed Chocolate Chip Apple Cake, the perfect addition to fall parties. A delicious spiced cake with a hint of chocolate & fresh apple, topped with a glaze. Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 1 hour Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups apples, peeled & grated
1.5 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
1 Tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325° degrees. Spray bundt pan thoroughly with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
With electric mixer cream butter and sugar. Beat vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
Mix together: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon & nutmeg. Add into batter and mix well. Mix in grated apples and 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Bake approximately 1 hour until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Allow to completely cool before removing cake from pan.
FOR GLAZE: In microwave safe bowl combine remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted, stir to completely combined. Pour over cooled cake.
