Frosted Peanut Butter Chip Brownies
Truth be told, I'm a huge chocolate fan! Oddly enough one of my daughters is and always has been a chocolate hater! HOW I do not know?!?
As she was growing up I went out of my way to avoid baking chocolate desserts. I'd save my chocolating (Is that a word? It should be!) for when we were out and I'd order dessert.

Into the "recipe binder" it went along with 735,824 other ripped out of magazines and handwritten recipes that I had accumulated. I still have this binder and it beyond awful, just bursting at the seams. Actually, there are no seams, I had to shove all of it in a gigantic ziploc bag.

I was floored by how darn good they are!
Now, of course, you can buy a boxed brownie mix and make some awfully tasty brownies, I do it all the time. But.you know as well as I do that homemade is often far superior and this recipe is just that case.

Mix in some peanut butter chips for the ultimate flavor combination and bake away.
The brownies on their own are simply YUM! Wait though, it gets better! Now you whip up some homemade from scratch, don't open a tub of store-bought frosting and slather it on top! I'm telling you these are heavenly.

Perfect for parties, you'll find a pan of these goes a long way and I will guarantee you'll make some friends if you bring these.
So, yes.bring these to the Super Bowl party you just got invited to. Bring these for teacher appreciation week at school, they are amazing and need to be shared!

Frosted Peanut Butter Chip Brownies
Chocolate and peanut butter lovers, this one is just for you! Frosted Peanut Butter Chip Brownies are a simply delicious homemade treat. This dessert is bakery perfect, yet easy to prepare. Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 40 minutes Total Time 50 minutes
Ingredients

Brownie batter:

• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  
• 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  
• 2 cups sugar
  
• 3 eggs
  
• 1 t vanilla extract
  
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
  
• 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  
• 1/2 t salt
  
• 1/4 t baking powder
  
• 1 10 oz pkg Peanut Butter Chips
  

Frosting:

• 3 T butter, softened
  
• 3 T unsweetened cocoa posder
  
• 3/4 t vanilla extract
  
• 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  
• 1-2 T milk (more if necessary)
  

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 325° degrees. Spray bottom of 13x9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  
• With electric mixer beat butter, cream cheese & sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time and add vanilla extract.
  
• Mix flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder in gradually, beating well.
  
• Spread into pan.
  
• Bake approximately 35-40 minutes, test with toothpick in center to see if it comes out clean.
  
• Cool and frost.
  
• For frosting: Mix ingredients with electric mixer adding additional milk until desired consistency is reached.
