Peanut Butter Cake With Cream Cheese Peanut Butter Frosting

My husband is a peanut butter hound.  Seriously.  So I am always coming up with ways to make him a new peanut butter dessert.  This is so simple and semi homemade, but I promise no one will be able to tell this is a boxed cake (at least to start).  And I'm fussy on the cake so believe me!









Peanut Butter Cake with Cream Cheese Peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients

For the Cake

• 1 White Cake Box mix, prepared per instructions
  
• 1 extra egg
  
• 1/2 C Peanut Butter (smooth)
  

For the Frosting

• 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  
• 1 1/2 C to 2 C powdered sugar (it's a matter of taste)
  
• 1/2 C Peanut Butter
  
• 8 ounces of Cool Whip
  
• 2-3 T of Milk
  
• 
  

Instructions

For the Cake

• Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  
• Mix all ingredients listed on box, plus extra egg until smooth, add in Peanut Butter
  
• Pour into cake pan of your choice (I used 9x13) and bake according to cake box directions (I did 32 minutes for my 9x13)
  
• Cool completely before frosting
  

For Frosting

• Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and peanut butter for 2 minutes
  
• Add in Cool Whip and milk and beat until mixed
  
• Spread onto cake and enjoy
